# xMosaique — Lightroom Preset Camera App for iPhone

## Features — A darkroom that runs before the shutter.

- **The look, live in the viewfinder** — Your preset renders on the camera feed in real time, so you frame and expose for the finished photo instead of imagining it. What you see is what gets saved.
- **Any Lightroom preset** — Import .xmp files straight from Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or OneDrive. Tone curves, HSL, colour grading, split toning and masks all come across.
- **Film grain and halation** — Four film-stock grain structures on a Fine/Medium/Coarse scale, with crystal size and clumping you can dial in — plus red or orange halation that blooms only past the brightness threshold you set.
- **Manual shutter and ISO** — Auto by default. Tap for shutter priority from 1 s down to 1/8000, or lock ISO instead. Long exposures stack 1–20 s of frames in linear light.
- **Shoot RAW and 48 MP ProRAW with your preset** — Keep the untouched sensor data alongside the photo with your preset applied. Save the processed file at 8, 10 or 12-bit as JPEG, HEIF or 16-bit PNG — processing is float-native from end to end, so the depth is genuine.
- **Your original is never lost** — Every processed shot can save an untouched copy of the sensor frame beside it. Turn the look off entirely and you get a plain photo — nothing is baked in without asking.
- **Front and back, framed properly** — Instant camera switching with a live grid, level and face detection. The buttons fade out of the way on their own so nothing sits between you and the frame.
- **Black and white that means it** — A standalone monochrome toggle, plus full GrayMixer support so B&W presets convert through their own channel weights instead of a flat desaturate.
- **Nothing leaves your phone** — No account, no analytics, no ads, no servers. Photos are processed on device and written straight to your library.

**Can I use Lightroom presets directly in the iPhone camera?**

Yes. xMosaique renders Adobe Lightroom and Camera Raw .xmp presets on the live camera feed, so the look is on the frame before you press the shutter instead of being added to the photo afterwards.

**Is xMosaique free?**

Yes. xMosaique is a free download. There are no ads, no account to create and no sign-up — open it and shoot.

**Where can I download free Lightroom presets?**

Right here. All 13 looks on the presets page are real .xmp files, free to download one at a time or as a single ZIP — no account, no email address and no watermark. They open in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw on the desktop, and in xMosaique on the phone.

**Which preset files can I use?**

Any Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom .xmp preset file. 13 looks ship with the app, and the engine reads tone curves, HSL, colour grading, split toning, detail and effects settings, plus linear, radial, luminance-range and colour-range masks.

**How do I import Lightroom XMP presets onto an iPhone?**

Three ways: the iOS Files picker (which includes iCloud Drive), or an in-app sign-in to Google Drive or OneDrive that finds your .xmp files and imports several at once. Neither cloud app needs to be installed.

**Can I use Lightroom presets without a Lightroom subscription?**

Yes. xMosaique reads .xmp files itself and asks for no Adobe account, sign-in or subscription. The 13 bundled looks work out of the box, and any .xmp preset you already own — bought, downloaded or exported by someone else — imports the same way.

**Do Lightroom masks work in xMosaique?**

Some of them. Linear gradients, radial gradients and luminance- and colour-range masks are read and applied live, along with the adjustments inside them. AI masks, people masks and brush strokes are not: those are selections made against one finished photograph, not against a live camera feed.

**Is the live preview the same as the photo it saves?**

Yes, at full precision. The viewfinder runs the preset as a 3D LUT on the GPU for speed; the capture re-runs the same processing in floating point over the uncompressed sensor frame. Halation and grain use identical maths in both paths, so the shot matches what you framed.

**Can I shoot ProRAW with a Lightroom preset applied?**

Yes. With a look active, RAW mode saves exactly two files: the 48 MP ProRAW DNG — untouched sensor data — and the photo with the preset applied. Turn the look off and you just get the DNG.

**Does xMosaique change the RAW file or the original photo?**

No. The ProRAW DNG is never written to, and Keep Unprocessed Original is on by default, so a clean copy of the frame is saved alongside the processed one. You can switch that off in Settings if you would rather keep only the processed shot.

**What do I need to run it?**

The iPhone version needs iOS 18.0 or later. An Android version is in development — sign-up details will land here once it is ready. There is no web version.

**Does xMosaique upload my photos?**

No. Nothing is uploaded. Capture and processing happen entirely on your device, photos go straight to your library, and the app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising code. If you sign in to Google Drive or OneDrive to import presets, that token is stored in the iOS Keychain on your phone and used only to read .xmp files.
