Boilerplate
xMosaique is a free iPhone camera app that renders Adobe Lightroom and Camera Raw presets live on the camera feed, so photographers frame and expose for the finished look instead of grading afterwards. It reads standard .xmp preset files directly, captures 48 MP ProRAW alongside the processed photograph, and offers manual shutter, ISO and white balance, long exposure, film grain and halation. Everything runs on the device: there is no account, no analytics and no server.
What makes it different
- The preset renders on the live camera feed, not on a photograph after the fact.
- It reads the .xmp files photographers already own, rather than a proprietary look format.
- The viewfinder and the capture run one shared implementation, so the preview is the photograph.
- An untouched copy of every frame is kept by default, and RAW capture writes the sensor data to its own file.
- Nothing is uploaded — there is no server behind the app to upload it to.
12 presets in the box. Your whole Lightroom library after that.
