18 free .cube LUTs. Then any LUT you own.

Every LUT below ships with xMosaique — the free iPhone and iPad camera app that grades the live camera feed with them, so you see the look before you press the shutter. Bring in as many more as you like: it reads the same 3D .cube files that video and colour-grading tools use.

  • Chrome Slide

Slide film's S-curve — deep shadows, bright highlights, a quarter more colour and warmer skin, with the greys left neutral.

    Download.cube
  • Faded Slide

A gentle fade — softer contrast, whites held below paper white with a faint cool cast, and darker greens and yellows.

    Download.cube
  • Vivid Print

Vivid colour at normal contrast — around a quarter more saturation everywhere, neutral greys and clean highlights.

    Download.cube
  • Dense Print

A dense print — about half a stop darker through the midtones, deeper colour, and highlights eased so they still hold.

    Download.cube
  • LoFi 160

A bright, low-contrast colour negative — open midtones, quieter sky blues, reds that still carry, and a faint green in the shadows.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • LoFi 400

A faster, brighter negative — lifted midtones, a cool cast in the shadows, softened skies and punchier reds.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Dusty Slide

A dusty, faded slide — colour pulled back to about half, a faint violet tint through the greys and gently lifted midtones.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Muted Negative

A darker, muted negative — a heavier curve, skin pushed towards red, and skies and foliage drained and shifted cool.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Lime Cross

Cross-processed colour — a strong lime-green cast through the midtones, warm, saturated skin and blues pulled back.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Cyan Cross

Cross-processed the other way — a heavy cyan-blue cast from the shadows up, raised blacks, and warm colours turned cool.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Citrus Instant

Instant film with a citrus cast — raised blue-green blacks, yellow-green highlights and bright, warm skin.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Warm Instant

Warm instant film — creamy lifted blacks, an even yellow warmth from shadow to highlight, softened whites and skies drained of blue.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Cold Instant

Cool instant film — raised blue-teal blacks, green-tinted highlights and colour pulled well back.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Expired Amber

Expired instant film — blacks lifted into a warm amber haze, faded highlights and colour pushed hard towards orange.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Sepia Print

A sepia-toned print — colour reduced to a trace under a warm brown tone, bright and slightly lifted.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Silver Mono

Soft, neutral black and white — a gentle curve, whites held below paper white and no tint at all.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Infrared Mono

Infrared-style black and white — foliage and skin glowing pale while blue skies fall almost to black.

    Download.cubeMIT
  • Pushed Mono

Hard, pushed black and white — a steep curve that drops the shadows to black and lifts the highlights bright, with reds and blues going dark.

Free to download and free to use on your own photographs and footage, under CC BY-NC 4.0 — share and adapt them with credit, but not commercially.

The exceptions are the looks tagged MIT: they are adapted from an MIT-licensed collection and keep its licence. Its notice comes with the archive, and you can also read it here.

Each LUT expects Rec.709 or sRGB material and returns the same, so apply it to ordinary photos and to graded or display-referred video. Log footage needs its conversion LUT first.

What a LUT carries across

A LUT is a colour table rather than a set of sliders, so there is nothing to approximate: the camera feed is graded through the table itself, in the viewfinder and again at full resolution when the photo is saved.

  • 3D LUTs in the .cube format, from 2 to 129 points per side
  • Rec.709 / sRGB in and out, display-referred — what most creative LUTs are built for
  • The input domain, so a table built for a range other than 0 to 1 still lands where it should
  • An intensity slider, from none of the LUT to all of it
  • Grain, halation, bloom, light leak, vignette and the date stamp on top, as with any look
  • Export back out as .cube, or as an .xmp preset

1D LUTs, .3dl and other formats are not read, and a LUT made for log footage imports but expects input the iPhone or iPad camera does not produce — the app marks those as made for log footage.

Can I use these LUTs on my iPhone or iPad?

Yes. xMosaique is a free iPhone and iPad camera app, and it applies any of these .cube files to the live camera feed — you frame and expose for the finished photograph instead of editing one afterwards. Import them from Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or OneDrive, and keep the untouched RAW alongside if you want it. iOS 18.0 or later, no account, nothing to pay.

Bringing your own

Files & iCloud Drive

The system picker, so anything synced to your phone is one tap away — or open an .xmp or .cube file from another app.

  1. Open the Presets screen in xMosaique and choose to import.
  2. Pick your .xmp presets or .cube LUTs in the iOS Files picker — local storage and iCloud Drive both appear there.
  3. Imported presets and LUTs join the ones built in, and swipe into the viewfinder like any other.

Google Drive & OneDrive

Sign in inside the app and multi-select .xmp and .cube files. No Drive app needed.

  1. Choose Google Drive or OneDrive on the Presets screen and sign in once.
  2. Select as many .xmp and .cube files as you like — they import in a single pass.
  3. Neither cloud app has to be installed, and the sign-in token stays in the iOS Keychain on your phone.

Export and share

Send any look back out as a real .xmp preset or .cube LUT, built in or imported.

  1. Open the menu beside a preset on the Presets screen, or select several at once.
  2. Choose Export to Files, Share, Save to Google Drive or Save to OneDrive.
  3. Save it as XMP for Lightroom and Camera Raw, or as a LUT (.cube) for most photo and video editors.
